Follow 10 Cambodian artists as they head to some of the country’s most mine-affected provinces to observe how Cambodia is addressing its mine and explosive remnants of war problem – and learn about the major progress being made by seeing the artwork they create.

Siem Reap opening: Srey Bandol on 8 February at Hotel de la Paix
And for those of you in Siem Reap on 8 February, stop by Hotel de la Paix for les nuages (the clouds), a solo exhibit by Srey Bandol. Drinks start flowing at 6:30 pm.
To celebrate the achievements in Cambodian mine action and to acknowledge the challenges that remain, Impact: an art exhibit about landmines in Cambodia engaged 10 Cambodian artists to present these concepts in new and innovative ways. By meeting with people living on mined and cleared land, survivors, deminers, and others working in the mine action sector, the artists developed a deeper understanding of the situation, and have presented their interpretation of the issues through sophisticated artwork.
Four young landmine survivors also created works of art about their past experiences and future aspirations.
This blog follows the artists as they visit mine-affected communities, create their artwork, and present them at exhibits within Cambodia and abroad.
