Opening #1 a success

In addition to the public opening on 1 October, a private opening reception was held on 30 September. Australian Ambassador HE Margaret Adamson, UN Resident Coordinator Mr. Douglas Broderick, and Minister attached to the Prime Minister HE Prak Sokhonn all provided remarks, and the 15-minute film we made about Cambodian mine action had its global premiere.

The turnout was great, with more than 100 representatives from the mine action and arts sectors, as well as several ambassadors and senior-level government officials, and, of course, the artists. The four young landmine survivors also came down from Siem Reap for the event (the first visit to Phnom Penh for some of them).
